What is the Music Bar?
The Music Bar is a browser-based toolbar that lets you bookmark music from all
over the web. Whether you are listening to music on a streaming music website, an
embedded video or an online MP3, Twones has got you covered. Find out more
about the artist while you are browsing, track your plays to your Twones and
Last.fm accounts and share your real-time music feed with friends.
Why use the Music Bar?
There are thousands of cool music blogs on the Internet that select the best new,
old and specialized music for their readers. Browsing these sites is often a lot of
fun but keeping track of the music you encounter and organizing it for later use is
often very hard. We created the Music Bar for the online music lover that wants to
bookmark new found music into neat playlists, read more information about the
artist while there are browsing and listening to new music and share there favorites
with their friends in real-time. Try it for yourself, it's free!
How do I use the Music Bar?
You'll need to be a FireFox user (Internet Explorer/Safari/Chrome are coming).
Then, download the Music Bar on www.twones.com/pages/download. When the
Music Bar is up and running, visit your favorite music blog (or try this or this one),
play a song and bookmark your first track by clicking on the
icon.
Can I scrobble the music I listen to online to my Last.fm account?
Yes you can. We understand that many music lovers (including some of us) already
have a Last.fm profile and want to keep track not only of their iTunes plays but also
of the music they listen online. With the Music Bar you can automatically send the
music you listen to online to your Last.fm account. Go to your settings page on
www.twones.com/users/settingsSyndication and add your Last.fm account. All the
music you play online will then be scrobbled to Last.fm.
